Live from the LAPC at the Commerce - This week on Pokercast is the live L.A. Poker Classic Special Edition. The Pokercast crew made the trip down to record live from the floor at the Commerce Casino during the LAPC Main Event. Our old friend Shaun Deeb joins the guys for the first segment to discuss his LAPC play and shares some thoughts about this years event. The feature guest is WPT Champion and winner of the heads up no limit event at this years LAPC Vivek 'Psyduck' Rajkumar. Also featured on the program is high stakes poker pro and Survivor contestant Jean-Robert Bellande who talks about being broke but living like a millionaire and how to approach getting staked. Jean-Robert F. Bellande, born Sept. 17th 1970, is a nightclub owner and poker player from Long Island, New York who is currently living in Las Vegas. He attended Azusa Pacific University, completing a Bachelor of Arts in marketing.
Following his initial public exposure during a WSOP circuit event in 2005 (in which he finished third) Bellande would go on to become a contest in 2007’s “Survivor China”. He was voted off in eighth place.

Shaun Deeb is a professional poker player from Troy, NY currently living in Las Vegas. Deeb launched his online tournament career from a single deposit of $30, which he parlayed into $33,000 in two weeks.
Deeb rose to internet poker fame and was known for the incredible multi-table tournament volume he could put in, as well as his ability to multi-tabling 30+ tournaments at one time. Vivek Rajkumar is a professional poker player originally from India currently living in Las Vegas. He moved to the US to study computer engineering and applied mathematics at the University of Washington. Upon graduation, he spent several months working for Microsoft before electing to focus on poker full-time in 2006.
Vivek has 1 WPT title, 7 WPT cashes, and 9 WSOP cashes in addition to a 2nd place finish at the $10,000 Commerce Heads-Up Poker Championship. Hendon Mob tallies his live tournament earnings as being in excess of $2.7 million.
