Peter Eastgate, born December 13, 1985 is a professional poker player from Odense, Denmark. Peter discovered poker in high school where he learned the game from his classmates. Before leaving to pursue poker fulltime, Eastgate attended Aarhus University where he studied economics.
Most recognize Eastgate as the winner of 2009 WSOP main event. In claiming that title, Peter’s name made his way into the record books as the youngest player to ever win the Main Event at age 22 – a record that would later be shattered by the 2010 winner Joe Cada. Aside from his main event title, Eastgate has had impressive results in EPT, APPT, PartyPoker premier league events. Hendon mob lists his total live winnings just shy of $11 million.
