Matt Hawrilenko is a professional poker player from Hanover, MA. A Princeton graduate, Matt worked for a number of years with a top investment firm before electing to focus on poker fulltime. Matt discovered poker in 2003 while living in Washington, DC as part of a summer internship program.
Known for applying a characteristic “math-based” approach to the game, Hawrilenko began playing small stakes NLHE games online before deciding his skill set was better suited for limit hold’em – a game in which he is currently considered one of the world’s leading players.

Dennis Phillips, born 1953 is an amateur poker player from St. Louis, MO. Phillips came to the forefront of the poker world in 2008 when he headed into the final table of the WSOP Main Event as the chip leader, where he eventually finished third.
Phillips works as an account manager for Broadway Trucks, a commercial trucking company in St. Louis, and is known for his signature St. Louis Cardinals hat. His run in the 2008 WSOP was well documented by both poker and mainstream media alike, as Phillips won his entry into the main event on a $200 satellite at a local casino.
Despite frequent pigeon-holing as “the everyman”, since his 2008 finish Phillips has gone on to achieve extraordinary performance in other live tournaments, with over $5 million it total tournament earnings including a 45th place finish at the 2009 WSOP main event.
