Chris is also going to be leading a team in the Global Poker League named the “Las Vegas Moneymakers”. He talks with us about what he hopes for and expects from the league. Chris Moneymaker is a 40 year old poker player born in Atlanta. Chris won the 2003 world series of poker where he eliminated Phil Ivey along the way and defeated Sammy Farha historically to kick off the "Poker Boom". Since the WSOP win Chris has been active in the poker world being an ambassador for the game, his latest venture is leading a new team in the Global Poker League named "The Las Vegas Moneymakers".
