To kick things off our inductee to the Internet Pokers Wall of Fame is none other than Phil Galfond. Phil joins us to talk about his favourite high stakes battles over the years, among other things. We then move on to “In Case You Missed It", the big story of the week and probably the year is PokerStars/Amaya’s controversial changes to their VIP program. A program which has been the industry leader for many years. We run through the facts of the changes and also bring in a player who has achieved Supernova Elite many times, Mike Brooks a.k.a “MeleaB". Mike weighs in on his view of how these changes will affect the future of online poker. Other stories this week include the conclusion of the investigation into the alleged WSOP 10k HU card marker, Bryan Micon’s sentence is reduced and inductees into the other Poker Hall of Fame. The November Nine is upon us this weekend, we talk about the end of the ESPN coverage and bring in Nov. Niner Max Steinberg. Max is probably the most well known player this year, a bracelet winner with another deep run in the main. He joins us from Vegas to talk about his preparations for this weekend, clarifies some things that ESPN may have portrayed in the TV coverage and more. Mike Brooks aka "MeleaB" is an English poker player who achieved Supernova Elite status on PokerStars for several years in a row. Mike was living with his family in the United States when Black Friday happened and was possibly the first poker refugee to leave the country to continue playing online. Born in 1985, Phil 'OMGClayAiken' Galfond is a professional poker player from North Potomac, Maryland. Galfond attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison and currently resides in Vancouver, Canada. Phil began playing poker in 2003 focusing on sit-n-go tournaments for the first 2-2.5 years. He switched to No Limit cash games and eventually moved over to Pot Limit Omaha. You can now find him playing in the biggest PLO games available online and he has been featured on seasons 4 and 6 of GSN's High Stakes Poker.
Phil had two cashes in the 2006 World Series of Poker and followed that up with two more in 2007. At the 2008 WSOP, Galfond won his first bracelet in the $5,000 buy-in pot-limit Omaha with rebuys event for just shy of $818,000. Hendon Mob lists his live tournament earnings as approaching $1 million.

Max Steinberg is an American poker player from Oakland CA who began playing online as a teenager with the help of his twin brother Danny who is also a successful poker player. Max already has one WSOP bracelet in a $1k from 2012 and made a deep run in the main in 2013 KOing Phil Ivey along the way in a set over set scenario. Max was a professional poker player for years then discovered he had a knack for DFS, and then made the switch from full time poker to DFS in the last year. His DFS skills won him a seat into the 2015 WSOP Main Event where he has secured a seat in the November 9. Learn more about Max Steinberg
