There are also a handful of gold bracelet winners at the Rio this week and we managed to snag 2 of them while on break from the $10K HORSE. The one and only Eli Elezra joins us to talk about his win in Stud, how he maintains a love of the game and the state of the high stakes mixed games in Vegas. Then good Canadian kid Jonathan Duhamel joins us to talk about his win in the One Drop, the dynamic between Hellmuth and Colman at that final table, a few hands and of course a little hockey talk. Jonathan Duhamel is a French Canadian poker player / finance student and 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion. Duhamel had been playing poker for close to seven years achieving success in lower stakes cash games and tournaments before he bested over 7,300 players in the 2010 Main Event taking home over $8.9 million for his efforts. He has fulfilled his role as World Champion over the following years and has travelled the world being an ambassador for the game he loves... Born November 24, 1960, Eli Elezra is a businessman and professional poker player from Israel who currently lives in Las Vegas. While serving as a lieutenant in the Golani Brigade of the Israeli army, Eli became bedridden due to a leg injury. It was during this recovery that Elezra began to play and study the game of poker.
Elezra is a regular in the “the big game” at the Bellagio and is known to play in the largest mixed cash games around. He is also a fixture on High Stakes Poker and has appeared multiple times on Poker After Dark.
Tournament highlights for Elezra include nearly $2 million in tournament earnings, a WSOP bracelet in Stud 8 and WPT title, and a long list of tournament cashes in Hold’em , Omaha, and Draw events.
