Live from the Two Plus Two Studios - This week on the Pokercast: Terrence joins us again from Melbourne where he is playing in the Aussie Millions. He starts by taking shots at the 22° temperature difference between our locations, but we put that aside to bring you the happenings in the poker world this week. Friend of the show and online poker entrepreneur Scott Wilson is in studio for the first segment to recap his trip to the PCA, the poker and other forms of gambling he participated in while in the Bahamas. The guys then move on to “In case you missed it” where they start off with the online poker cheating scandal involving 2011 bracelet winner Darren Woods who is now facing 15 months in prison. Other stories covered this week are the possibility of an NHL team coming to vegas with help from Daniel Negreanu, The Polish government scraping the Hendon Mob database for taxation information on players and Faraz Jacka’s feature on “CNN Money” where they profile his nomadic lifestyle. A new regulatory California poker bill is introduced, as well as a candid interview with Gus Hansen where he talks openly about his massive online poker losses. Neil Channing is this weeks interview as he joins us early morning from England amidst a ton of sports action to talk about his beef with a certain live tournament series, a televised cash game he played in with Isildur and an NHL star, some obscure Superbowl bets, plus more stories and topics. In the third segment Bryan Slick from Pokerstars joins us to preview the Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP) and what we can expect from the 2015 series of turbo events. 2 more Million Dollar Spin & Go’s were hit this week too, and Adam and Terrence review the questionable play in those sit & go’s. In 140 or less the guys review some poker tweets from Gobbo and a certain Pokercast host, Adam also bumps a thread and then answers the mailbag. Neil Channing is a professional poker player and author from Reading, UK currently living in London. Born December 9, 1967, Channing was employed as a bookmaker at various UK racecourses before pursuing professional poker.
Channing is a regular contributor to Bluff Europe magazine and co-founded the site Black Bet Poker, where he also maintains a blog.
