PokerCast Episode 227 - WSOP Coverage with Neil Channing, Chris Tryba & 2+2 Party Preview
Live from the Two Plus Two Studios - Coverage of the 43rd annual World Series of Poker continued this week on the Two Plus Two PokerCast with Mike and Adam wasting no time bringing us up to date on all the action taking place down at the Rio. They connect with poker pro Chris Tryba, winner of Event #35: $2,500 Mixed Hold'em, to get his thoughts on finally achieving his dream of winning a bracelet. He also goes into detail about the much talked about final hand where he rivered a straight flush against fellow poker pro Erik Cajelais and the boisterous celebration that followed. The guys follow that up by getting UK poker pro and fan favorite Neil Channing on the line to chat about his second place finish in Event #43: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em to hear how heart breaking it was to get so close to his long overdue bracelet win. Sensei Channing also tells some great stories about recent adventures on the Las Vegas strip and tries to shed some light on why British rail birds get such a hard time from Harrah's staff. With the annual Two Plus Two WSOP party only days away Mike and Adam track down Rob Moore, Director of Poker Operations at the MGM Grand, to preview this year's highly anticipated TwoPlusTwo'er bash. In forum static the guys talk some poker gossip including some more juicy twitter battles, some lawsuits filed by Dan Shak and Steve Zolotow and of course give away the password for the July 1st Poker Stars VIP Club Invitational for PokerCast listeners.
