Tom joins Mike and Adam on the program to talk about his breakthrough tournament win, some online cash game strategy and get his take on the recent multi-accounting allegations against Stox Poker's Nick Grudzien. Tom Marchese is a professional poker player from Parsipity, NJ known by his online handle “kingofcards.” Marchese began playing small stakes limit hold’em before shifting his focus to no limit. Mason Malmuth received his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 1973 from Virginia Tech and completed a master’s from the same program in 1975. While working for the United States Census Bureau in 1979, Mason stopped overnight in Las Vegas while driving to his new assignment in California. He was immediately fascinated by the games and gambling immediately became his major interest. After arriving in California he discovered that poker was legal and began playing in some of the public card rooms as well as taking periodic trips to Las Vegas where he would play both poker and blackjack. In 1981 he relocated to Los Angeles for The Northrop Corporation where he was employed as a mathematician, at which time he pursued his interest in poker in the public card rooms in Gardena, Bell Gardens, and Commerce.
His company, Two Plus Two Publishing has sold over 1.5 million books and currently has 35 titles to its credit with more on the way.
