Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen, born February 13th, 1974 is a professional poker player from Copenhagen Denmark currently living in Monaco. Before turning to poker professionally, Hansen was a high stakes backgammon player and youth tennis champion.

Gus began playing poker while an exchange student at University of California Santa Cruz. Hansen has 5 WSOP cashes and was the first player to win 3 WPT titles. His career tournament earnings exceed $7.1 million.

In 2008, Hansen wrote and published Every Hand Revealed, a hand-by-hand account of his 2007 Aussie Millions Victory. The book was developed from a voice recording that Hansen narrated (in Danish) while playing.

Hansen is a member of the new Full Tilt Poker’s "The Professionals."
