Vanessa Rousso

Vanessa Rousso, born February 5th, 1983, is a professional poker player and law student from White Plains, NY currently living Miami, FL. She attended Duke University where, after being introduced to Game Theory, became proficient with the Rubik’s Cube and chess. The psychological elements of poker attracted her to the game that she had to play outside of casinos until she turned 21 at the University of Miami’s School of Law.

In 2009, Rousso would took second in NBC’s National Heads-Up Championship to Huck Seed, netting a payday of $250,000 million and adding to her live tournament earnings of over $2.6 million. She is married to fellow poker pro Chad Brown.
