Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton is a professional poker player from Syracuse, NY. Isaac was introduced to poker by his Magic: The Gathering friends and began playing at age 18 at the Turning Stone. Before pursuing poker fulltime, Haxton completed two years of a computer science degree at Brown.
Despite his decision to put his education on hold, Haxton’s parents have been very supportive of his poker career. Any skepticism they may have had was no doubt cast aside once his checks for online winnings began to roll in.
Haxton’s first live tournament breakthrough came in 2007 when he finished second to Ryan Daut in the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure. In a few short years, Haxton would go on to cash in 3 WPT events and 13 WSOP events, including a second place finish in the 2009 $40,000 NLHE WSOP 40th Anniversary event. According to Hendon Mob, Haxton’s live earnings exceed $2.8 million.
