Donna Harris began her gaming career in 1980 at the Golden Nugget as a blackjack dealer. She became a poker dealer later that year and dealt until 1985.
In 1989, The Mirage opened with Donna as the Poker swing shift manager. When Bellagio opened in 1998, she became The Mirage Cardroom Manager. Donna has also held positions in both The World Series of Poker and Grand Prix of Poker tournaments in Las Vegas. Her experience includes traveling with Poker Cruises International, whose routes to most ports in the Caribbean and Mexico have now been taken over by Card Player Cruises and Classic Poker Cruises. She was also aboard the first "poker cruise" to England on the QE II in 1985, and worked poker tournaments in such exotic locales as Marakesh, Morocco, and Port Vila, Vanuatu.
In 2002, Donna was promoted to Director of Poker Operations, giving much of the credit to her talented staff.
She is a published co-author of The Professional Poker Dealer’s Handbook; and “Cardroom Theory – A Two Way Street” with Mason Malmuth. The latter was presented at the Conference on Gambling and Risk Taking sponsored by the University of Nevada, Reno. Donna is a proud Diversity Graduate.
